During the Tokyos Designers Week (1.- 6. November 2005) we will offer you a new approach to achieve instant beauty.

According to our slogan “Beauty for free!!” we will provide various, unusual ways in order to improve your beauty instantly and free of charge.

The Background of our project is an intercultural collaboration between the „Burg
Giebichenstein“ University of Art & Design from Germany and Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. from Japan within the framework of the „German Year“ in Japan. The results of the project „Mystery of Beauty“ as well as the information about the exhibition, that took place in Tokyo earlier this year, you are able to find at: www.mysteryofbeauty.com.

One outcome of this collaboration has been that the meaning of beauty is indefinable, is depending on the specific cultural background and will probably focus more and more on inner values.

This, rather interactive project, tries to find out the cultural differences of the perception of beauty. We want to find out, how people react, interact and understand beauty. What is the mystery of beauty for you? And what would you do, in order to achieve beauty? Against this background we are especially aiming for the differences between Japanese and German people.
